A spectacular pin/pendant from the Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! Crafted in 14kt rosy yellow gold and topped in sterling silver, this gorgeous 3-dimensional butterfly is adorned with an assortment of gemstones. The wings are masterfully crafted and display a beautiful two-tone look. Approximately 0.75ctw of Rose Cut diamonds glint within the wings, along with 2ctw of lush pink rubies and 1ctw of vibrant blue sapphires. Three rubiesare set within eachof the forewings while one sapphire decorates the wing's cell, matching the sapphires in each of the hindwings. A bezel-set ruby represents the butterfly's thorax while three pearls embellish its abdomen and two sapphires illustrate its eyes.A ridgedbail, long antennae, and four legs that peek outfrom underneath its body complete the design. This incredible piece is versatile and can be worn as a pendant on a favorite chain or as a pin. A contoured pin back screws into the backside of the butterfly's frame, allowing it to be worn with a favorite outfit. Measurements:The piece measures approximately 1 3/4" wide, 1 1/4" tall, and an overall 3/8" deep.

Condition:The pin/pendant is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting. All of therubies, diamonds, sapphires, and pearls are intact and securely set. The bail is secure and in good working condition. The pin mechanism screws in securelyand is in good working condition.
